| Flaxwood Festival's home is this magnificent country property, which is situated on Flaxton Road, just a few kilometres from Christchurch en route to Rangiora. The rolling mounds, lakes and huge expanses of lawn will enable festival-comers to bring their own rugs and refreshments, and to enjoy an afternoon of perfect relaxation and great entertainment. Guests will be welcomed from 11:30am onwards when they will be provided a range of light entertainment including roving minstrels, a model helicopter flying display from champion flyer Dr. Andrew Palmer, and a number of other incidental acts, as the countdown to the main performances continues. Eric Devos will be offering his moorish "Churros" to those who cannot resist such temptations (and there will be many such persons present). The formalities and concert proper will commence at 1:00pm and will continue through until approximately 5:30pm. |

| "Churros" are a Spanish style donut – light, crispy sticks of fried dough ..... but this description really doesn't do justice to the final taste of churros. A special taste which has to be experienced first-hand to be fully appreciated, and is potentially addictive ! Thanks Kim ......
ironic isn't it ...... – A Spanish delicacy, made by an ex-pat Frenchman (now officially a proud Kiwi) for New Zealanders of all ethnic origins – in New Zealand ! |
